Opening Chorus, “Alles nur nach Gottes Willen,” from Cantata 72

Originally for chorus and orchestra in a minor, as here. Title means, “Everything only according to God's will.” Note that the Gloria from the Missa Brevis, BWV 235 is a parody of this chorus which we have also arranged in the Miscellaneous Vocal Works section. There are great similarities between the two, but note that this is in a minor, and the aforementioned is in g minor..
